What is salinity:

Salinity is the ratio by weight of salt in one kilogram of mixed water with salt, and the salt mix value is read as a percentage.

Ocean salinity affects ocean and plant life, but also affects temperature, pressure, waves in the oceans. The change during the evaporation of water from the ocean causes changes in ocean currents.

The freezing point of ocean water depends on its salinity. The higher the salinity percentage, the longer the freezing time will be. And it crystallizes below minus two degrees Celsius.

However, the boiling point of salt water is higher than the boiling point of drinking water.

Ocean evaporation is also controlled by salinity and at the same time also increases its density. That is why man rarely drowns in seawater with higher salinity.

Evaporation, rainfall, inflow of river water, dominant winds, ocean currents and sea waves are significant factors controlling the evaporation of water from the ocean.

According to world statistics, as much as 6% of the world's soils are salted. For this reason, this part of soils around the world is not cultivated otherwise is wasteland, but the latest information in this topic alerts to the dizzying increase of salt in the soil.

Soil salinity occurs as a result of natural or human-induced processes and primarily because of a lack of response to sewage failure. Which cause huge damage and accumulation of dissolved salts in groundwater to a degree that inhibits plant growth.

Salts in soil water inhibit plant growth. The presence of salt in the soil water solution reduces the plant's ability to absorb water, and this leads to a reduction in growth rate. This is referred to as the effect of water deficiency in the plant. Secondly, if excessive amounts of salt get into the plant in the transpiration stream, there will be damage to the cells in the transpiration leaves, which can further reduce growth. This is called the salinity effect of the plant.

Salinity is often caused by an increase in the water surface and the reason for this increase is accompanied by frequent watering of the plants. Which inhibits the growth of plants and, as a result, its withering.
